This is the full version and information about my original series "Hateful Wonderland"

DO NOT plagiarize any of my original content or characters. I've spent over a year piecing this together perfectly and it's grown to be a big and important part of my life. It makes me feel bad and manipulated when I see cheap rip offs of my style, story, and character designs. If you're going to be "inspired" look up the word and use it right please.

INTRODUCTION/SUMMARY/FAQ

Note: Hateful Wonderland ≠ Still Here. "Hateful Wonderland" is the name of the series, while "Still Here" is the name of the individual story within the Hateful Wonderland universe. There is no one set story to the Hateful Wonderland universe. Still here is the main story and timeline that the universe relies on, but it can be broken down into many stories from there, meaning there are lots of endless opportunities for even more stories.

The world of Hateful Wonderland takes place in Northwest Great Britain during early 1920s. In this particular world, dolls thrive instead of humans. These type of dolls categorize as puppets/rag dolls (puppets are any type of dolls the can be "animated" or have emotion shown in them. Rag dolls are dolls made of cloth, buttons, and other materials of the sort.). The story focuses on Ffionn Fox and his best friend Stephan S. Bunny. Both come from dysfunctional families, and are the polar opposite of each other. Coping in their own ways. Both the main characters, Ffionn and Stephan share a toxic relationship. Both of them are extremely close sharing a brotherly bond. They both deny that there is anything unhealthy about their relationship, and continue to live in hardship and trouble. All of the dolls live together as a family in Rose Manor, a victorian dollhouse inherited by Stephan from his parents. The environment around them is full of lush forests and peaceful countrysides. The weather is known to be rainy, chilly, with some sunshine. But almost always has a grey overcast in the sky. When it is sunny, the atmosphere becomes a warm, dreamy haze that glows beautifully. Very much like a perfect summer day without the intense heat. Think of Beatrix Potter type aesthetic, just a little more gloomy and dreamy.

Official Summary:

In the wide, overgrown English county of Lancashire, meeting Stephan S. Bunny was perhaps the best thing Ffionn Fox could have ever done within his lifetime. The doll bunny was kind, loving, and would do anything to keep harm out of dear Ffionn's way. When a bad epidemic of Polio digs it's unforgiving claws into the innocent doll family, it does more than dispatch the young dolls from their parents. Stephan, a young aspired doctor does anything he can to find a cure for all sicknesses to prevent anyone else from feeling his loss, but also needs a way to test these remedies and vaccines. Wanting to keep this brilliant idea a secret, he turns to his best friend Ffionn. Perhaps meeting Stephan S. Bunny wasn't the best thing after all.

THE RAGDOLL COMPLEX

These "dolls" have a system which is known as "The Ragdoll Complex". The Ragdoll Complex consists of four layers in a doll’s body; the fabric layer, stuffing layer, nerve and organ layer, and skeletal layer. Each gets more delicate the deeper it is located in the body. Taking this information into account, this would mean if one were to be poked or lightly pierced with a sharp object such as a needle, they do not feel pain. However, they only start bleeding or feel pain after that said sharp object has passed through the fabric layer far enough.

DOLLS/CHARACTERS

Ffionn Magnolia Fox: (Mar 1898- )

    Ffionn Fox is a 23 year old doll fox who has trouble perceiving reality. He is the most kind, and naive one of the family, and cares for Stephan no matter what he does. Ffionn also gets along with anyone even if they dislike or don't get along with him (he's quite oblivious to it in that case). Ffionn was spoiled as a child and catered to excessively by his mother, resulting in him acting almost like a child, and gives him a high tolerance and naiveness.  Despite his bubbly side he can get quite aggressive when angered, especially if one doubts Stephan. Whenever somebody brings up the fact that Stephan is a bad person and is harming Ffionn, it results in upsetting him and defending Stephan claiming that he is not doing anything wrong to harm him in any way. Ffionn is the test subject for Stephan’s project to create a vaccination to cure all disease. Ffionn is known by the others to have excessive nightmares and "hallucinations" as Stephan calls it, but they usually brush it off thinking he's just imagining or making it up. He has an interest for sewing and painting, but still needs practice at it. His first sewing project he successfully accomplished was a black and white scarf when he was younger with Stephan's help of course. He also tends to "talk" to his ragdolls (these dolls aren't sentient). His favorite however, was a tattered bear Stephan gave him as a token of their friendship that managed to stay together during all the years of his youth. As of now it's starting to become in poor condition with one of its eyes falling off.

Stephan Sage Bunny: (Nov 1893- )

    Stephan is a 28 year old doll bunny, and owner of Rose Manor who is without a doubt, a cold hearted jerk. He grew up abused both emotionally, and physically by his parents, who are now deceased from a Polio epidemic 10 years prior. The bunny says he hates everything and wishes ill will among the other dolls. His behavior ranges from extreme vulgarity to simply just scoffing or mockery. It is not stated in the story exactly, but he shows to have some sort of personality disorder. It remains unknown throughout the story. Stephan’s personality to one would come off as blunt, narcissistic, and cunning. He also tends to show great grandiosity. He took a great liking to Ffionn when they were children stating and promising that he would “be best friends forever” with Ffionn. As they grow older, he still holds to this promise, but grows controlling of Ffionn. He eventually takes advantage of Ffionn’s trust for his experiments. However, he does not do any of this to purposely harm Ffionn or out of spite. He has a complexion to where he thinks he is helping and being a caring friend to Ffionn, when really he is damaging and harming him. Stephan proclaims to be a doctor and aspires to create new artificial life. He dedicates his entire life to his studies, and experiments. He thinks he has an excellent sense in fashion getting triggered whenever he sees someone dressed poorly instantly insulting and shaming them. He is also known to be extremely secretive-

Marinella Jolene Fox: (Jan 1893- )

    Marinella is Ffionn's older sister, and is quite a nasty, snobby thing indeed. A common nickname for her is "Mari". She has been a substitute motherly figure for Ffionn since their real mother's departure. She is very overprotective of him. Marinella wears a prosthetic left leg made of aluminum and gold. She wears this leg because due to most of her left leg being horribly burnt from a fire a great accident contained. Since there weren't enough resources or technology to help treat or ease large wounds back then, she had to have this leg amputated. The amputation in particular she received was a transfemoral amputation or an amputation above the knee. She occasionally uses a crutch if needed. Most of her time is spent doing the housekeeping, and cooking. She likes to however make dresses in her free time.

Frederick Von Denton: (Dec 1895- )

    Frederick is an asshole. But a different type of subcategory of "asshole" than Stephan. He enjoys to make fun of and mock everyone around him. Almost everything disturbs him to an exponential level. He can still be caring sometimes even though it's hard for it to show through.  Him and Stephan don't get along very well. Part of this being Frederick disgusted with Stephan's vulgar behavior and the other half for Stephan not liking being insulted for no reason. Frederick is also known to be a "germaphobe", and carries cleaning supplies with him regularly. This is due to him catching the worldwide epidemic of the Spanish Flu in 1918 while returning from the war. After making a lucky recovery, he constantly disinfects things and bathes at least three times a day. The war also left Frederick with "shell shock" or more commonly known as ptsd, after watching his father get shot out in battle during trench warfare. He uses his cats as a coping mechanism. Unfortunately, he began to grow unhealthily obsessed with them and eventually developed and obsession known as "Ailuromania", an abnormal obsession and passion for cats. Due to him being closed off, none of the other dolls really knows why this is. They assume it's simply a "quirk" of his. Ironically, he's deathly allergic to them and has a weak immune system. Due to him ignoring the fact he's allergic, he catches a sniff here and there of a cat which is the cause of his chronic sinusitis. He is almost always seen with a runny nose and puffy red eyes from the allergies. His immune system is weak so he gets sick easily as well. Frederick has a total of five cats whom he names in groups. The cat group names are both Patches, and Kitty Kitties. The only cat Frederick owns not named in a group is Mr. Choco. Cakes, cupcakes, or any type of pastry are another passion of his as he eats them excessively. Finally, Frederick's main interest is Marinella. He seems to show a great attachment to her with a sort of "school boy crush", but she always fails to notice him and sees him more as a friend instead. Perhaps that's why he's always in such a fowl mood too.

Victor Van Bunny ( Feb 1895- )

    Victor is Stephan's cousin, and the complete polar opposite of him. He's quiet, secluded, and an introvert. He knows the difference between right and wrong unlike his cousin. Victor takes a major interest in locomotives. He is best friends with Thomas who shares the same interest. They hope to build one of their own someday that is run completely by steam. If they accomplish that, less coal would be burnt meaning less smog in the air. Their dream however is shut down by many as they have a closed mindset. Victor has a taste for tea with his favorites being chamomile and jasmine.

Thomas Von Denton: ( Aug 1892- )

    Thomas is Frederick's brother and an introvert as well as Victor. He isn't hostile, but he chooses not to be around the rest. When he is around them he usually quietly stares as the chaos worsens with whatever is going on.He's known for his disapproving sneer and smart aleck comments. No one knows much about him really or his personality besides Victor due to being secluded in his room all day. They usually spend hours on end together looking at locomotive blueprints. They build small models that run by steam hoping to build a real one someday. These small sets trail around the ceiling trimming all about the dollhouse He likes to read and drink tea as well. Thomas also experiences shell shock due to being in the Great War, which is a reason for him secluding himself and shutting other dolls out in fear of abandonment, hence why he is so close to Victor. It's better to feel alone than to feel lonely.

William Addington (Jun 1878- )

    The local Mortician

Edward Bramble: (Jul 1894-1915)

    A local neighbor that lives close to the dolls visiting from the states. He writes poetry for a living, and his best friend is Francis his neighbor. He and Francis sell newspapers together which is how they met.

Francis Nettlebed: (Apr 1895-1915)

    Francis is another close neighbor from the states a little ways away from the dolls. He is close friends with Edward and owns a massive flower garden. He and Edward sell newspapers together which is how they met.

Ashton Bennett:  (Aug 1889- )

    Stephan's psychiatrist who sucks at his job. Also goes by Mr. Bennett. Mr. Bennett believes in electroshock therapy, which is thought to cure mental illnesses. He gives poor advice, and usually turns to medication or ECT for instant solutions for his patients

Constable Richard: (Feb 1874- )

    The local constable of Lancashire. He also does duty as Scotland Yard when not needed in Lancashire. He's known to be deadpan, but is great for conversations. He goes by Constable, Constable Richard, and Officer.

Plüsch: (Oct 1919- )

    Plüsch is one of the many dolls Stephan has created. They look strikingly similar to Ffionn and were made to cure Stephan's self created "loneliness" being too embarrassed to ask anyone to hang around him from self doubt. Plüsch(s) can't eat nor breathe. They simply do not need to since their mouth is stitched shut. Their bodies only consist of a brain and small heart, both organs are samples. These creatures do indeed have button eyes, but they are somehow able to still see their surroundings. Their only way of communication is by making small various whines or whimpers.

Thistle (Mar 1899- )

    Being orphaned and left as a stray during his youth, Thistle spent most of his life solo. In order to survive, he made profit off of cleaning chimneys in the nearby nonmetropolitan town of Lancashire. He finds shelter under bridges and decks of nearby dollhouses being dreadfully afraid of open spaces. The name "Thistle" derives from his claws clinging tightly to certain surfaces not being able to pry him off.

PARENTS

James and Delilah Bunny: (1874-1910, 1875-1910)

    Though they may have been innocent in their youth, wealth and high standard ways of the Victorian lifestyle got to their head. Both are Stephan's parents. His father James works as a journalist for a newspaper in London, and his mother Delilah, basically just sits around at home all day lazing about doing nothing. His mother is known to be aggressive while his father just watches and doesn't say much. He can get aggressive too when he is angered however. Out of both, Delilah is the most aggressive and abusive. Both parents want Stephan to be a wealthy journalist as his father but he is constantly at their throats refusing, wanting to become a doctor. However, they ignore it. Stephan's parents both die of Poliomyelitis shortly after his 17th birthday. Stephan was devastated due to him having no one left to care for him. However; he felt slightly relieved though he feels sometimes he is being watched by someone- Victor's parents were constantly working so he usually was under the care of James and Delilah living with his cousin, but they didn't do much to care for him which led him to taking care of himself on his own.

Robert and Elizabeth Fox: (1875-???, 1876-1911)

    Marinella and Ffionn's parents were a little softer. Their mother had a tendency to "baby" Ffionn through most of his childhood resulting him in acting childish sometimes while the others don't. His father also works in London but is a businessman selling various fancy chocolates. He often brings some of the chocolates home to Ffionn. Marinella was never fond of them. During their youth, Stephan often hung around the Fox family rather than his own due to feeling uncomfortable around them- Elizabeth died from Poliomyelitis as well. His father's state however is unknown as he traveled to France on a business trip never returning. He is assumed to be dead.

Clarence and Alice Von Denton: (1871-1916, 1872-)

    These two are Frederick and Thomas's parents. Like Ffionn and Marinella's parents, they were gentler than Stephan's but rather strict. Their mother works in a local bakery while their father remained workless until he got a job at maintaining weapons for the war. Unfortunately however, he died during the war while participating in the trench warfare but his mother is still alive. She lives off down in town more.

DOLLMAKER (Plüsch's Creation)

    The Dollmaker (Stephan) makes dolls pff there's not much too it. But; he makes dolls for a reason. Feeling neglected and lonely, he makes little dolls to keep him company. They do not speak, so they will never judge him, They have obscured eyes so they will never see him to judge him. Wearing a stained cloth over his face to obscure his pain, he pierces needles through delicate fabric and batting to slowly drain the thick, red syrup of life to make tiny companions.

~Doll Life Procedure~

1. After piercing fabric, place tainted needles in the heart and brain area to let it seep in the material.

2. Take excess drained blood and place it in a vial under a light to dilute it (to help turn it into a watery consistency)

3. After the test subject starts to become conscious, quickly feed it the blood so it will then proceed to flow to the heart and brain region.

4. Organs will then begin to function.

*Small dolls only consist of a heart and brain to live. They do not eat, or need to breathe. The plethora of batting in them acts at a skeletal system with the two organs packed tightly inside.

DEMONS AND GHOSTS

 *Those who state to not believe in such a thing will never see. In other words, if they claim to not believe in supernatural beings, they won't be able to see them. Those that sincerely believe for there to be such a thing, will see the supernatural.

    A demon's life cycle always has them start out as an inky mass. But this inky mass isn't just any blob of ink; demon ink drops can be classified by the consistency of the ink and by how rare they are. Normal ink drops hold together, but to the touch they have the consistency of water. Demon ink drops have a sinister stickiness to them and burn to the touch. If one has the ink on them for too long, it begins to quickly eat away the fabric of dolls and is the equivalent of sulfuric acid on human skin. After a demon's ink phase, they form into giant, dark, inky canine-like creatures with crazy deformed fingers, wings, and some have horns needing to seek immediately for energy to live off of. They're able to shapeshift and disguise themselves to get what they want, BUT- once a demon finds a host, they have to stay with that host until it dies and their soul is let free. When a heart is fully obtained by a demon, they become mortal and whatever form they've shifted into is permanent, and now they have the possibility to be possessed as well since they are now living and no longer immortal, and the cycle continues.

     Ghosts are much different than demons even though they may hold certain similar characteristics. Many of the dolls simply don't believe for there to be such a thing, but some experience them and have even seen Ghosts. Ghosts only exist if their souls aren't at rest. If one is buried properly, they go on into the afterlife whatever that may be. in the 1st reality/dimension. If not, they haunt the area where they fell until their bodies are properly rid of to the Earth.

     These creatures aren't hostile towards the dolls unless they feel they are being threatened. They don't need energy to survive, but they can't stay in light for long periods of time. Staying in long periods of light at a time causes ghosts to get weak as they start to disintegrate. Ghosts are also able to appear in dreams and nightmares as well just as demons are able to because they are supernatural beings.

While a demon's diet is energy from the soul, a Ghost's diet consists of bugs and insects. Spiders, centipedes, beetles, and earwigs are the most commonly consumed bugs by shadows since they dwell mostly in basements, and attics where lots of stuff can be packed close together making the perfect places for spiders to hide.

The Spectre: (n/a)

    The Spectre is not really a fox, or classified as a ghost. He proclaims to go by many names, but doesn't have a specific one in particular so he is commonly known as "The Spectre" among the inhabitants of the third reality. He’s a demon that has the ability to shapeshift into certain forms as he pleases. He’s not exactly sure why he decided to posses Ffionn out of everybody, but he had to in order to live as demons need energy from the soul to survive. The only place this is "energy" is available, is in the hearts of mortals. As he passes through different dimensions/realities, he becomes weaker. So the further he travels away from his own realm, the lesser and lesser his being becomes. In some realms, he can be seen as only the head of a monstrous animal. This form is seen as a shadow. He can not harm outside of his own realm. He can only harm one's well mental being.

Shriek: (Jul 1894- Nov 1915)

    Shriek's personality has always been not the brightest. He gets annoyed easily but has shown to be wise after experience.

Weep: (Apr 1895- Nov 1915)

    Weep is usually light hearted. He tends to burst out crying for no particular reason however. Not even he knows why.

Heart Embezzlers: (n/a)

    Created by the Specter, their job is to embezzle hearts. They are two cat like figures who hold the keys to the other dimensions/realities. Heart Embezzlers are lengthy and tall, but hollow on the inside. Hearts become embezzled when they swallow them for storage. Their long limbs allow them to reach into their bodies to retrieve them again though sometimes they may need assistance. For being henchman of a very important job, they aren't very good at it and have been seen to be quite....ignorant actually. One way to tell them apart is that Heart Embezzler #1, has a tie with a pink pinstripe coat. He's usually the more serious of the two but is still shown to be quite ignorant. Heart Embezzler #2 wears a bowtie with a blue pinstriped suit and always seems to smile through whatever situation may be happening..

THE DAMNED

    The Damned are a type of creature that contains disturbing or unsettling memories and are the result of bad people or dolls in this case. Their self centered and destroyed lives are punished by living in the 3rd reality for the rest of eternity or in other words, damned to hell. They dress in a baroque fashion and are known to be unsettling disfigured.

These nightmarish beings are greatly attracted to hearts being able to sense them from miles and miles away. They have sharp teeth for tearing out the organ of a mortal and sharp fingers made out of the sharpest scissor blades to tear and shred fabric and flesh if needed. Surprisingly after having written all of that, they'll take anyone in who has a great fashion sense; whether they're friend or foe. They tend to throw parties quite often.

Frasier the Frightening (1764-1791)

    His past life mostly was thievery and murder. Now, he feeds on hearts and is the most fond of them. Being mute and blind, he isn't very fortunate in retrieving any.

Madame Annette: (1801-1824)

    During her past life as a spoiled duchess, she was envious but also vain. She tore apart her face and put it back together trying to be the most beautiful in the land. However, she only grew more ugly and disfigured on the outside as well as inside. She now yearns for love and will snatch up anybody that would be susceptible to it. She is the kindest out of the nightmares however, only to the ones she loves.

Doris Von Tysterman: (1857-1883)

    His past life was involved in manipulation. Being named after the brilliant vermillion rose, he wanted to prove himself to others by having the best garden. However, he grew near to insane trying everything and even talking to them as if it would make them grow. Seeing that the roses didn't want to listen, he went to others' gardens and chopped away the vines making them weak, and short so his roses would look the best in town. Now in the 3rd reality he walks around with a pernicious rose vine entangled around him. Whenever he tries to manipulate, the vine slowly begins to asphyxiate him.
Anyways, let's just get to the universe-

BOTANICAL SPECIES

Pernicious Rose:

scientific name: Rosoideae Perniciosa

rank: genus

    Pernicious Roses generally come in red, but can come in color mixtures as well including orangey-yellow hues and light red (only on rare occasion). They have woody branches that coil and latch onto things tightly whether it be a nearby trellis, or live doll nearby making them highly dangerous around those who don't know how to handle them. These roses are also an invasive species, and their vines need to be trimmed back every so often to avoid overgrowth. Pernicious Roses exhibit skototropism, and grow away from the light. They prefer shady areas with dim to almost no sun. Pernicious Rose seeds are only available to first class and grown in royal or wealthy dolls' gardens.

    simple growing instructions:

-plant roses at least ten inches apart preferably on a rocky terrain.

-water twice a day.

-seeds can be planted during any time of the year.

-when flowers fall off, do not worry! the rose best thrives when it is in it's bare state, ironically.

-watch out, the vines are known for their sharp, needle like thorns that grasp if you stand too close.

RHOPALOCERA

Ghostflies:

*Note: If a doll's soul isn't at rest and eventually becomes a ghost, the energy is too strong for a Ghostfly to take completely. Thus, the deceased doll's soul still lives on causing it to haunt the area until their body is at rest. There, the energy becomes weaker and the Ghostflies can now fully take their essence.

RELATIONSHIPS (Family and Love Interest-wise)

Note: All of the "ships" in this universe, I don't personally ship. This is only for the sake of the story because all stories need spice y'know?

Family Relations:

• Marinella and Ffionn are siblings. They had an older cousin named Faine. He is now deceased from the Spanish flu. He also has nothing to do with the story why does he even exist on this journal still.

• Stephan had no siblings being an only child. However he is cousins with Victor but they don't seem to talk to each other very much.

• Frederick and Thomas are brothers

 Love Interests:

• During pre-accident times, Stephan was yes, in a relationship with Marinella and almost proposed to her a short time before the accident. Current post-accident times however, they do not speak.

• Ffionn and Stephan's relationship is platonic, sharing a sibling bond type of relationship being the brothers they never had for each other. Ffionn looks up to Stephan, and Stephan takes Ffionn as a younger brother figure always being there for each other when needed.

• Frederick sometimes has been shown to show some attachment to Marinella but it isn't certain. She shows little cues here and there of being interested too.

• As for Victor and Thomas? Nobody really knows-

DIMENSIONS/REALITIES

    This world is made up of dimensions, and realities. To some dolls, this claim is a myth. However, some believe it to be true.When an individual travels out of their realm of origin, they have the possibility of dying in that other realm. Dolls that are outside of their own realm need to be wary of this fatality. Mortals are more at risk considering that they can die within their own realm as well.These are just the main five realities that make up the Hateful Wonderland universe, meaning that there's great possibilities of there being even more realities, parallel realities, and alternate realities. Nobody really knows for sure though.

1st: Dream Realm/The Ghost Realm:

This realm is thought to be responsible for dreams. This is also the realm where rested spirits are believed to dwell.  However, it is unknown how to travel to this dimension.

2nd: Mortal Realm:

Dolls/mortals dwell in this dimension. This is the only dimension where life dies and starts over again.

3rd: Demon Realm:

4th: Nightmare Realm:

5th: Terminus:

A colorless, and empty, realm. Even sound does not exist here. It is the end.
