Synopsis:

A single mother leaves a charity hospital with her newborn son. The mother realizes that she can not give your child all the care he needs, so she holds a ticket with the child, asking who find care and love your baby, and leaves in the back seat of a luxury car. However, the vehicle is stolen by two thieves, when they discover that the baby in the background leaving an alley. Without knowing anything a vagabond makes his morning walk and see the baby. Initially he wants to get rid of the child, but always several factors prevent it and gradually he comes to love him. Alongside the mother repents and tries to reconnect with his son, but when he discovers that the car was stolen got a shock, because most likely she will never see her child.

I put that magnet URL in uTorrent 3.5.5 (build 45628), and the metadata hasn't downloaded. I suspect it's never going to download. Why does that happen and is there something I can do to fix it?

I just want the metadata to download in uTorrent so uTorrent can tell me all the files in the torrent. I don't even want to download all the files; I just want to see a list of them and if they match with the files I downloaded years ago.

Torrents operate by someone with files on their block device (HDD, SSD) sharing them will other peers. Is there a filesystem which allows the same filename of multiple files in the same directory?

Doesn't preclude having same filename files in the same location. It just might remove the possibility of easily human-readable file identifiers. But yeah the filesystem could have something like a description entry for all files which would be or could become the unique identifying easily human readable file identifiers.

Just precludes doing anything useful with them. You (the application) try to open "The Kid (1921).jpg". Now what?

How do you even get deterministic behaviour?

So you overwrite two files that both have the same name. How do you find the right ones in the future? Keep track of what ids you were given in some kind of database mapping what you're looking for to what number it's stored under? That's a filename.

That's an awfully simple requirement to state, but how would that work? Assume that hash collisions are impossible, every time you edit a file, the ticket-you-need-to-provide-to-get-it-that-isn't-a-filename will change.

They're not, it's just 4chan has eaten the indentation. It's actually inside a subdirectory.

So many applications or software programs need sensible filename to work? Most software accesses files based on filenames. You are probably right.

Does such a filesystem exists? What would happen if you tried to run BitTorrent to distribute your files-with-the-same-filenames-in-the-same-location? Could it possibly work?

Unless you actually have the actual .Torrent, there's no way to tell conclusively. But dozens of spammy websites playing chinese whispers and obliterating the directory structure is the most plausible explanation.

I would say that more likely explanation is that one of those .jpgs had some special/unprintable character in its name which got stripped in the web view.

I did consider that possibility in the past. The torrent had Brazil Portuguese language files/data so maybe one of them had an e with an accent or some shit.
