Far Cry 3: ★★☆☆☆ You're a frat boy, trying to save your frat boy friends, from some generic psycho who isn't even the main boss, not a single likable character in the entire game. The wing-suit will kill you 9 times out of 10, no way to travel up hill - on a terrain that needs it, your stealth suit is stolen as a "reward" for beating the game, the upgrade system mars you with tattoos, every boss battle is a drug induced quick-time event, and there's no co-op. All of these issues and more, fixed in FC4! Aside from the wing-suit, that thing is still a death trap.
Far Cry 4: ★★★★☆ More OpenWorld Stealth FPS. This time with a likeable cast, and less frustrating gameplay, and co-op.
+ Graphics + Quick Sell + Auto Drive + Fast Travel + Good driving + Useful minimap + Hunting syringe + Looting animation + Hunting & Gathering + Weapon customization + Upgrade your own house + Attack and defend outposts + Many upgrades and unlocks + That lil crossbow and grenade launcher + Best grapplehook system, if only it was dynamic + Animal fuzz graphics, more games should use this + Interesting sidequests (climb towers, rescue hostages, races, assassinations, etc) + Shangrala, its setting, slowmo bow, and tiger pal. Too bad you can't use them in campaign
+- Dinky copters and wing suit, both likely to get you killed +- Coop, though you can't do the main story missions coop +- Story choices, though they're a bit 1 sided and have no impact +- Call in an NPC sidekick. Singleplayer only, and not on missions +- Karma system is a bit weird. Punishes you only for murdering civilians, rewards you for killing animals
- That radio guy - Draw distance issues - Missions aren't replayable - Half of the map is locked by story progress - Having to hold a key to do everything, instead of just pressing it. This should only exist to stop weapon swaps, which it doesn't. At least they added an animated feedback bar for it. - Game can be overly difficult/frustrating, especially the insta-fail stealth missions, and the difficulty setting seems to have almost no impact on how hard any part of the game is
