Glendale passport center opens; service ends at other post offices

The newly opened passport center in Glendale's main post office offers one-stop processing for applications or renewals.

A new passport center has opened in Glendale, offering one-stop passport applications that include the taking of required photographs.

As of Monday, travelers who had need passport renewals and more and had been served by their post offices in Altadena, Arcadia, Duarte, La Cañada, Monrovia, Montrose, Pasadena, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, Sunland, Tujunga and Verdugo City can obtain service at the new center at Glendale’s main post office at 313 E. Broadway. The passport entrance is accessible from the Louise Street, or west, side of the building, not through the front post office entrance.

The center provides walk-in service. It does not offer appointments.

The Glendale center will be open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays. The office is closed Thursdays and Sundays.

A passport center with later hours opened recently at 15701 Sherman Way in Van Nuys. It is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays.
