An incredible wave of struggle erupted in Hong Kong last year against an extradition bill which further eroded Hong Kong’s autonomy from China. Huge numbers of students occupied campuses and battled police in extremely militant situations. While the police responded viciously, they received mass popular support. Red Flag editor Ben Hillier was on the ground for the upheavals and will report on that and the current situation at Marxism 2020.
