左室低形成を伴わない大動脈閉鎖症2例に対する外科治療 Surgical Treatment of Two Neonates With Aortic Atresia Without Hypoplastic Left Ventricle

Two neonatal patients with aortic atresia without hypoplastic left ventricle were operated at the ages of 15 and 7 days old respectively. The former patient underwent closure of VSD using internal conduit, anastomosis of the proximal main pulmonary artery to hypoplastic ascending aorta and aortic arch, and reconstruction oi continuity of the right ventricle to the distal main pulmonary artery using external valved condiut. The patient died due to low output syndrome 16 hours after operation. The latter underwent the Van Praagh procedure. Although this patient necessitated additional pulmonary artery banding and long-term ventilatory support, she survived and was discharged in good condition on 313 days after the Van Praagh procedure.
