Meitei Bamons (Manipuri Brahmins) are a result of miscegenation of Brahmin male immigrants from various parts of India who married native women, mostly tribals.

Didn't realise my whole lineage has been destroyed already lol. From where I come from, even Brahmin men frequently married tribal women. This is literally how Brahmin groups such as Meitei Bamons came to be. Same applies to other groups throughout Southeast Asia.
