Most airlines have extended service cancellations through November, and there isn't any indication they will resume in December, according to Rolenda Faasuamalie, Guam airport spokesperson.

Japan Airlines announced Wednesday that its flights will remain suspended through Nov. 30.

Only three airlines currently service Guam, Faasuamalie said: Jin Air, United Airlines and Philippine Airlines.

"The rest of the airlines have extended suspensions through November," she said.

Jin Air operates a once-a-week flight from Incheon and Philippine Airlines flies once-a-week from Manila.

United Airlines operates:

  • twice weekly from Manila;
  • daily flights from Honolulu and Narita;
  • three times a week from Saipan; and
  • a twice-monthly island hopper.

Quarantine protocols remain in place for incoming passengers.

Everyone entering the island by land or sea is subject to a 14-day quarantine, with all passengers going to a government of Guam facility unless "the individual qualified for quarantine at an approved rental lodging or personal residence as authorized by (Public Health)," according to guidance from the Department of Public Health and Social Services.

On Day 6 of the quarantine, according to the guidance, people in government quarantine facilities "may receive, subject to availability, a COVID-19 test."

If the test is negative, "the individual may transfer to quarantine at a rental lodging or personal residence to complete the remainder of their quarantine period. In the event the individual receives a positive result, the individual will be subject to isolation protocols."
