The decision was made because of small enrollment numbers.
Guam – St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School will officially close its doors by this summer.
School Principal Pillar Williams in a press release confirmed that the Archdiocese of Agana has decided to shut the school down.
“Due to the school’s small enrollment and inadequate financial resources over the years, the school is unable to continue operating,” a release states.
Williams says the administration is working with the Archdiocese to assist students in a smooth transition into other catholic high schools. Williams also says that the Aquinas mission has contributed to the educational landscape on Guam and despite its small size and limitations, fostered the development of Christian character, scholastic and other achievements.
