Is there a way to adjust the DPC?

By DPC I mean digital pitch correction it's what makes the audio sound clipped instead of like chipmunks when changing speed.

I end up watching a lot of content at a higher speed with youtube (html5) or VLC I can watch up to 2.5X and still understand what they are saying but smplayer is very noticeably using different DPC as anything above 1.8X it cuts out so much I can no longer understand what's being said. I've started using smplayer as playback and seeking is much smoother than VLC plus audio works above 4x.

Any way to adjust it?

Currently there's no way to adjust the scaletempo filter in smplayer, but you can turn it off and then pass it with options in preferences -> advanced -> mplayer/mpv -> audio filters.

I tried out all the options but the one that helped the most was setting the stride length lower with "scaletempo=stride=20" I can push it to 3x now.

For future searchers the option in question:

Length in milliseconds to output each stride. Too high of a value will cause noticeable skips at high scale amounts and an echo at low scale amounts. Very low values will alter pitch. Increasing improves performance. (default: 60)

I was noticing it was skipping so much you couldn't make out the words so this ended up being the majority of it.

"rubberband" also solves the problem but after trying all the available switches still sounds like an underwater effect.
