Democrat Caught Trying to Solicit Sex from 14-Year-Old Boy
Former Democrat state rep candidate caught in undercover sting operation
A former Democrat state rep candidate has been caught trying to solicit sex from a 14-year-old boy during an undercover sting operation in Massachusetts, according to reports.
Matt Trowbridge, who ran as a Democratic state representative, was caught on camera by a group of pedophile hunters while attempting to meet with the minor.
Trowbridge believed he had been grooming an underage boy via text messages after finding the child on the app Grindr.
However, Trowbridge was having sexually explicit conversations with a member of the activist group "Predator Poachers of Massachusetts," who was posing as a child to catch pedophiles online.
The group does “To Catch A Predator” style stings and posts them on YouTube.

Democrat Trowbridge ran for office in 2009 against Republican incumbent Betty Poirier, before dropping out due to “personal matters” in 2010, according to The Gateway Pundit.
Trowbridge, from North Attleborough, sent sexually explicit messages to the person that he believed to be a 14-year-old boy before going to their house to prey on them.
When Trowbridge was told that the person he was speaking to was “14 turning 15,” he responded with “nice.”
While making plans to meet up with the “child,” the predator asked the boy when his mother would be leaving, removing all plausible deniability that he believed he was speaking to an adult.
Trowbridge has now deleted all of his social media.
The news follows the controversial move by Democrats in California lighten the penalties for adults caught having "gay sex" with minors.
As Neon Nettle reported last month, the California state legislature voted to pass a bill that offers protections to adults who claim to have "consensual gay sex" with minors.
CA State Sen. Scott Weiner, an openly gay Democrat who represents San Francisco, resurrected the bill, SB 145, last month after first introducing it in January 2019.
The Democrat-controlled legislature passed the bill in early September that will relax sex offender registry requirements for sodomy and other sexual acts with minors.
The legislation seeks to end “discrimination against LGBTQ young people on the sex offender registry,” according to Weiner.
The Democratic lawmaker argues that automatically placing adults on the sex offenders registry for abusing underage children of the same sex is "homophobic."
