#kenzotakada, the Japanese designer who brought a gust of color and fresh creativity to Paris in the Seventies, has died in a hospital at age 81 due to complications related to COVID-19.

News of his death comes a day after the Kenzo label showed its spring / summer 2021 collection at Paris Fashion Week, which is due to run until Tuesday.
Paris-based Japanese designer #kenzotakada, famous for creating the international luxury fashion house Kenzo, died in Paris on Sunday due to Covid-19 related complications, a spokesperson for Takada's luxury K-3 brand said in a statement sent to CNN.
Despite leaving the brand in 1999 to enjoy a 'permanent holiday' of a retirement #kenzotakada was still involved in maintaining the brand's seamless mix of traditional Japanese fashion and modern western style that it is famed for.
“Once I started learning about these artifacts and the stories they told, I began to appreciate their history as much as their beauty as decorative objects,” said #kenzotakada . His collection has grown to include over 300 pieces
