This is 100% plausible. Trump's campaign is in absolutely dire straits both financially & in terms of his poll numbers. He is facing almost certain defeat. And desperate times call for desperate measures! I wouldn't put it past Trump to be faking the positive result.

This won't blow Biden off the screens. If anything it makes Trump look even more irresponsible. I can imagine this harming him more than helping (the markets' already reacting badly) and he's moved past hydroxy and onto a possible vaccine. This would be a bad play on his part.
