It is a noble idea to convert it into a museum but it is going to be a huge cost converting it and maintaining it. An obligation. We can't be emotional for every thing the country owns and is not useful anymore.

The refusal to accept converts among Parsis is because they promised not to convert others on request of the Hindu king who gave them refuge.
I'm unsure if that applies to Iranis living in India either since they don't follow same laws.
