Btw, there are Hindu Khmers in Champa as well while the Khmers of Kampuchea Krom identify as Theravada Buddhists. Kinhs have a plurality in Champa as a whole still nonetheless.

I came to know Hindus still form the majority in Ninh Thuan province of Vietnam. Most Hindus there are Chams but some from other ethnic groups exist too.

India is still a very poor country. India must economically develop and the basics of infra, education, healthcare and means of societal advancement should be available to all. That would reduce material incentives for conversion.

This Christian conversion bogey is something that is vastly exaggerated. Conversions among tribals can clearly be reflected from census data as they don't have cryptos. SC crypto-Christians will revert back easily if the power structure changes. theprint.in/opinion/vhp-rs

I live in a state that is 75% Christian. I have literally grown up around Christians. I have Christian acquaintances (both tribal and non-tribal). I have studied in both Hindu funded as well as Church funded institutions, but I'm still clueless. Ok, we'll go with that...

Omg you're so clueless. Majority or minority doesn't matter - it's the damage. First, US has strict rules about evangelism -it can only be done through officially registered non-profit organisations or churches and can't be done by private parties for profit as is the case here.

I've also studied in a missionary school for a period of time. One of my closest friends is a Bengali Christian who frequently visits temples as well. Now, it doesn't mean I should go around claiming Bengali Hindus are converting to Christianity enmasse.

I study in a missionary clg in a major temple city of TN & have done field work in surrounding villages. I've literally seen Hindu villagers being taken to the church for sermons in pickup trucks. This is 2020 India, not 200 AD Roman empire. Check the rates at which Christianity has been growing among these tribal communities. It has declined drastically in the last few years. Christians were growing by double digits in Arunachal until the last decade but aren't anymore.

There's literally no way bulk of the tribals there are Christians. Tribals don't have cryptos. Otherwise BJP wouldn't be sweeping tribal heavy seats. NDA got bulk of the tribal vites just a few months ago.

The way you people speak would make it appear that all the tribals in Jharkhand must be all Christian noe. The actual share of Christians among the tribals of Jharkhand was only 15.5% in 2011.

Lol, no. Check the attendance rates of those countries. Their condition is literally just a decade or two behind that of Europe. Also, Africa has already been converted, so nowhere left to expand anymore

Btw, the number of mosques and churches on Google maps is vastly exaggerated. These people put images of Jesus in their homes and then mark it as a church on the map. You should check the church attendance rates for the ground scenario.

I am from Thoothukudi district. Conversion is not that much as estimated by RW. Yes many new churches were arisen due to foreign aid but most if them are empty. Most of Christians in south TN were converted during British era especially the fisherman community

Upper caste Hindus don't even convert in US for power lol. You shouldn't blow up cases of a few because ancedotal evidences can have the fault of bias. The same state can have a city that is 95% Hindu as well as another being 95% Muslim simultaneously.

It isn’t exaggerated.. even high castes converting rapidly in telugu states. Rapid conversion in Punjab etc is alarming. They pump in money by the truckloads. If print says exaggerated, it’s opposite.. we need to panic

Conversions in Kerala stopped after mid 20th century once communism arose. TN had one of the earliest presence of Christians, Kanyakumari being part of same Travancore. The hill states of Northeast were animist, not Hindu which makes it easier for proselytization.

Look at the world around you. Christianity is extinct in MENA, it's near extinct in Europe as well, dying rapidly in the New World. NZ lost its Xtian majority in 2013. Christians need power to thrive, without which they decline rapidly.
