As far as I could see there are drivers for 2.4.31 and 2.6.12. You could back port e.g. the 2.4.31 driver into 2.2.14. Probably that's what you already tried to do ... If yes, what error is issued ? All in all back porting might become a nightmare because with more recent kernels internal structure might have changed (especially from major kernel releases like 2.2 to 2.4 or 2.6 ...). I'm looking for a cheap USB 2.0 pci card that is well supported in the Linux kernel. I've tried to use a no-name Via card and I have not been able to get it to work (ehci-uid recognizes the card, but it won't accept any usb devices that I plug into it). I have a dvd burner in a USB 2.0 enclosure, and I would to use it at full speed. booting fedora core 3 (Kernel 2.6) from USB Card Readers
I want to install FC3 on a machine with no CD-ROM. I have a universal USB card reader with a 16M MMC card. I want to load stage1 and then proceed to install from my local server via NFS or FTP. In order to do this I tried the boot.iso file from the images folder in the RHFC3 CD#1: dd if=boot.iso of=/dev/sde1 Then umount the card reader and plug it to another computer to make sure is "bootable". I get "Missing Operating System". So I tried the diskboot.img file, same procedure as befreo. I get the missing OS message again. On both cases I can confirm the files are on the MMC card. Hello I have successfully synched using this pilot / cradle / PC (ThinkPad T21) combination using Chapura conduits running under Windows XP Pro - so all the hardware is fine. I have just run the gnome pilot configuration applet. I have a USB cradle and have tried various dev/pilot settings. When I press the HotSync button on the cradle - no application in Linux responds. Migration of OS/2 1.30 to OS/2 2.0 or newer
Hi all, what is the chance to upgrade an OS/2 1.30-system with LAN manager (ethernet with plain NetBIOS), a C-written frontend and a Sybase-SQL-server 1.1 to a newer OS/2-version? The system is installed on a FAT-drive, print-jobs are created by the C-frontend for LaserJet-printers and send directly to the LPT-port or a shared LPT-port on a print-server and several OS/2 1.3-clients access the database also via the C-frontend. I would perfer using WarpServer 4 based on Warp 3, or even just Warp 3 Connect/Warp 4 (without LVM, JFS etc., so WSeB, ACP, MCP or eCS are not an option) the whole infrastructure may not be needed anymore because only one person still works with the system! USB devices (thru' USB/Firewire card) won't mount in OS9.2.2
Anyone got any ideas/solutions? My beige G3 tower has a USB/Firewire PCI card fitted, but although the card shows up in Profiler, any USB devices attached don't show up on the desktop. IntelliMouse Explorer USB on kernel 2.6.2?
Hello all, I have a problem getting my M$ IntelliMouse Explorer usb working with kernel 2.6.2. The mouse is working fine in 2.4, but it's dead in the water in 2.6. Anyone out there, got it working? In 2.4, when I loaded the usb module it usually say that it found a intellimouse. In 2.6, the usb modules are dead silent, just "registering bla bla", not a beep abuot my intellimouse. I have made sure that the mousedev and usbmouse modules are loaded, plus some random testing with other modules (hid, psmouse, etc). But that has so far resulted in nothing, and it feels like a rather unsystematic approach. In some state of not seing the obvious - even when it's waving a flag and lights emergency flares =) - i forgot to load the usb host device module. Doh.
