Blaupunkt UK have launced their 2006/7 USB equipped models into the UK.



The oversized display on Blaupunkt's Casablanca CD/MP3 player shows you three lines of text for all your track and system information and thanks to the display's 4096 "Variocolour" settings, you can customise the background colour to match your vehicle's interior.

The rear mounted USB input lets you connect a compatible flash drive, hard drive or MP3 player and you can still burn and play your digital music collection from CD-R/CD-RW discs, if you prefer.







Blaupunkt's RDS AM/FM tuner ensures great reception for all your favorite stations, and you can expand your entertainment options with a Blaupunkt CD changer or iPod adapter. Whatever you listen to, you can tweak the sound to your liking with six separate bands of tone control and a loudness boost. If you're looking for more power, front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputs (via optional cables) make it easier to connect an array of external amps and subs.



The Blaupunkt Memphis MP66 extends on the Casablanca by adding a full colour TFT display for superb detail of track, folder and ID tag information. It is also possible to upload custom pictures via the USB or SD card inputs.

We have also received details from Blaupukt Germany to suggest these units will run a wider range of USB host powered drives than other products. These include 2.5 HDD up to 80GB, something that has eluded many manufacturers.

80 gig is an impressive capacity, good to see theres a good power supply for the USB to run such a beastie... You'd never need to use another CD again...
