Honestly this bare-faced reaction from Duterte’s fascist dogs isn’t surprising, but certainly a slap to the face to the whole Filipino people.

Indigineity and the Jumma: Conflict in the Chittagong Hills Tracts is now available to patrons, and will be available to the public in one week from today.
As far as research goes, it’s clear he’s doing a lazy job of it, only selecting sources from reactionaries that support his positions. Disappointing but not surprising at this point.
Watching BadEmpanada’s video on the Shining Path, so many [citation needed] moments. So much negation of two-line struggle, and it’s just insulting when he says that the Peruvian government wasn’t “that much better” than the SL, as if they didn’t perpetrate the mass of crimes.
Texas already lacked adequate access to affordable child care before the pandemic. Now, the coronavirus has temporarily or permanently closed almost half of all child care providers in the state, leaving few options for low-income working families.
I’m between read-along episodes, I’m also working on an exposé on the ongoing conflict in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh, as well as a history of the Jumma that live there, a talk about what it means to be indigenous, and imperialism on the Indian Subcontinent.
tl;dr : This is a tactics thread. A key emergent goal of our nightly clashes with the cops is attrition: exhausting them physically and financially, interfering with their ability to police-as-usual. Thus we should force them to use more cops, or lose. How? Be (more) like water.
Following attacks by Bolivia's pro-regime paramilitaries, indigenous groups of Warisata, La Paz, have come out to defend their anti-coup protests from repression.

Looting capitalist property and destroying government buildings is the perfect strategy for this moment because it's a real injury to the ruling class and they literally can't return the injury in proportion because they own everything and we own nothing.

Alright this will be the next read-along then. I went ahead and read the book already, and to be clear I do have criticisms of some of the conclusions, but I think much of the book is very useful for helping us round out our historical materialist analysis of the US -

Finally getting around to reading Settlers by J. Sakai. It’s probably too long to do a whole read-along, or if I did it would have to come out not only in several parts but probably in several installments over a few months. Is anyone interested in such a project?
Also for those that have criticisms of that book I would like to collect those as well, specifically any that are more fully articulated and written down more than replies.
