That was done by Pindari tribals not by Mahrattas. Mahrattas fully compensated the Mutt and stopped their campaign against Jihadi Tipu Sultan due to this.

Any Indian who supports AIT is either ignorant, idiotic or casteist. I dont mind contrary opinion. But obdurate refusal to change their minds combined with a total failure to back up their belief in AIT with proof makes a nauseous mixture I cant tolerate any more.

There is a common misconception that keeping a Shikha is an exclusively Brahmin custom. This is wrong. Shikha is Pan Hindu. Here is a painting of Veer Haqiqat Rai Khatri (right) with a Shikha
