Lmao, it's not the Hmong women marrying Han men but Kinh (Vietnamese). Lots of Kinh women women cross the border into China to marry Han Chinese + Zhuang men for a better standard of living. Btw, most of the men in China doing the kidnapping and buying, are Hmong, not Han.

I'm also reminded of when I went to #LaoCai in #Vietnam near the border with China. The landscapes were unbelievably beautiful but the people living there, many of whom were Hmong, lived under constant fear that women and girls would be kidnapped across the border by Chinese men.

Lol, go check the condition of Christians. It's just marginally better than before. The elites who ruled the communities still rule them, except they are Christians now. The standard of living of Garos (who are 97%+ Christian) is far worse than Hindu Tripuris.

Slight correction: It should be urban Han families. Minorities in urban places were allowed to have 2 children provided their population didn't cross 10M. For rural ones, Han 2, minorities 4 with same 10M population limit.

Exactly two years ago in Khahrachari, Bangladesh this indigenous Marma man was stabbed with a long knife for resisting his land from being taken over by bengali muslim settlers. He was lucky enough to survive. As usual, NO ONE PUNISHED for attempted murder.
