I don't know why Muslims boast about population growth so much when infact most of them will be staying in their own countries which are 90%+ Muslim already for most parts.
Out of the countries with the 15 largest Muslim population (~80% of total), only 
have room to grow.

Population projections are done based on trajectories.

By 2050, India's arable land per capita will drop from 1.39/k to 1.15/k while Pakistan will plummet from 1.24/k to 0.62/k
The strain on Pakistan's resources will be equivalent to that of Bangladesh's right now (although they have controlled their TFR now)

Meanwhile India has the fastest COVID growth currently, higher deaths/million than Pak. Even if we conducted the same no. of tests as India, we'll get a max of 25k cases per day with 2.5% positivity rate.

India has a higher extreme poverty rate but equal to Pakistan when comes to relative poverty rate.
India still has a higher per capita income and HDI though.

Pakistan's population growth rate is 2X that of India. Also, India doesn't have a -ve GDP growth rate unlike Pakistan.
