Program areas at VIA

Direct expenses relating to the facilitation of American Language & Culture Programs (ALC) at Stanford University. Brought college students from Japan, Taiwan, and mainland China to Stanford University for intensive classes in English from Stanford University instructors. Direct expenses relating to the facilitation of Exploring Social Innovation (ESI) Programs which brings together community-minded students and professionals from mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, and other Asian countries to learn about some of the world's most pressing issues and approaches to solving them. Direct expenses relating to the facilitation of cross-cultural programs in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam) where VIA fellows worked with non-profits and provided English support in a variety of settings, including universities.
