The reason

did so terribly is because of their choices. Read this on how misinformation cost them votes from the Garos. Then a Hindu Rabha wanted to contest on a BJP ticket but they refused him. In the end, he came 2nd after Congress.

BJP/NDA got 0/20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala which is the most literate state but sends the most number of ISIS recruits. BJP/NDA got 39/40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar which is the least literate state but sends the highest number of IAS officers. Education sans morality, folks.

This is because most of these districts were carved out of Muslim heavy parts of larger districts. Undivided Goalpara in Assam was 43% Muslim in 1941 and 57% in 2011. 3 M majority districts (Dhubri, South Salmara-Mankachar, Bongaigaon) were carved out of it.

I remember 55 years ago, outside JK , the only islamic majority districts were Malapuram and Murshidabad ; now 12 districts in Assam, 4 in WB , 1 in UP, 1 in Bihar, 1 in Haryana, and another 15 districts on the way ( based on 0-4 age census ) ; my generation foolishly / 1

Muslims went 2% of Indian Army in 1953 to 1% by late 1990s. Sikhs meanwhile went from 8% to 13% during the same period. Indian Army is overwhelmingly Hindu as I don't believe many Buddhists, Jains or other religious groups sign up disproportionately.
