Undivided Goalpara in Assam was 43% Muslim in 1941 and 57% in 2011.
3 M majority districts (Dhubri, South Salmara-Mankachar, Bongaigaon) were carved out of it.

Indian Army is overwhelmingly Hindu as I don't believe many Buddhists, Jains or other religious groups sign up disproportionately.
