Ima come out and say I was loud and wrong about communism. The US manipulated us into believing it was an evil system in order to cover up their real intention, that being imperialism. That’s hard for me to say because my grandpa fought for South VN in war, but I was wrong.

I am regretful every day that because my dad was uninvolved in my life, he never taught me how to speak Lao or raise me with any semblance of Lao identity.
