Type your height and then let your predictive text do the rest. "I'm_____ and I'm a____________" I'm 5'8 and I'm a disaster for the love of Keanu Reeves. Well.....

Yess, and entire cities were flattened, some cities with a history older than the United States itself does not exist anymore! Histories, arts, and cultural relics were destroyed and erased.

I think we don't talk enough (or at all) about how US bombed Laos 270 Million times, making it the most bombed country ever. There were approximately more than 580,000 bombing missions on Laos between 1964 and 1973, that’s one every eight minutes, every day, for NINE YEARS

Most Chinatowns began as segregated enclaves for migrant labor and were historically neglected, overpoliced etc. Their persistence as commercial centers today should be contextualized within transnational capital and white patronage driving gentrification, labor exploitation, etc

Black people should study the Asian community. I’m astonished at how the Asian community has a Chinatown/Koreatown in every major city while having the lowest voter turnout. What do they know about group economics that Black people clearly don’t?

This piece by is so beautifully written and painful to read. Please take 5 minutes to read about how transnational capitalists are displacing our families and small businesses in Flushing. What's worse? Our political representatives are letting it happen.

I wrote for @guardian about a neighborhood that gets ignored in convos about gentrification: Flushing. A big reason: It’s Chinese developers displacing a majority Asian neighborhood. It’s a story of global capital. Thx to my editor @summersewell theguardian.com/us-news/2020/a

I stopped by my favorite handpulled noodle spot in Chinatown last night for takeout and I hadn’t been to Chinatown in forever so I had no idea if they were still running but they were OPEN for orders!!! I’d never been so eager for someone to take my money

The karma of Hudson Yards failing after taking money from impoverished areas is very satisfying.

Sure looks like Hudson Yards is going to become a distressed area itself How's that for divine karmic justice and delicious irony? bloomberg.com/news/articles/

tldr; posting is not a sufficient form of activism! while it is a way of signaling important info — and i'm sure plenty of ppl are now hungry for this type of content — how useful is it to yourself and your audience? or is it just performative?
