When I first made Twitter it was to follow other exmuslims & find others in similar situations as me who I could relate to. It was a place where I didnt feel alone and could exchange my thoughts and ideas regarding religion and it's oppressive nature with like-minded individuals.

I see a v strong correlation between religiosity n support for modesty culture. And this precisely illustrates my issue with religion. It dictates what is right and wrong on no logical basis. Hence, someone who isn’t even hurting anybody is deemed as a sinner.

People who have never had to wear hijab or deal with mysogonist muslim men or deal with any shit islam gives women are the ones that call out on strong ex muslim women who dealt with all that crap.

Unfortunately many of us have been indoctrinated this way but when it comes to ppl we love, that's when our humanity usually kicks in. I'm glad this experience helped u change ur perspective and I hope other Muslims can also be as compassionate as u were for ur sister

I remember seeing a white convert put up a GoFundMe just because she wanted to move out & get her own apartment but nobody wanted to shame her for that? When someone like me who was actually in a dangerous circumstance asked for help Im shamed & accused of being a con artist,smfh

U think I wanted to be put in that predicament? U think I wanted to ask for help? I was on the verge of suicide bcz I didnt know what else to fuckin do and to have ppl like this constantly try to shame and humiliate someone who was simply trying to survive is infuriating.

I hate constantly having to explain myself on this. So what if I had a GoFundMe? I became homeless after being trafficked with nothing&nowhere 2 go.What was I supposed to do&why do u ppl shame those who try 2 seek help in dire situations? Its bcz of this so many suffer in silence

My mum is an apostate who converted due to peer pressure from her husband's friends wives and i never thought of killing her. I keep teaching about islam everyday even if she doesn't want to listen. Many apostates come back to islam, we shouldn't kill them.

When I see Muslims defending and advocating for the death penalty for apostasy with their whole chest, all I can think of is what if these ppl had closeted exmuslim family members who are probably terrified of them.

And although feel bad for anybody who has a disability, I have little sympathy for ppl like her bcz despite having such conditions that should humble her and teach her to value life more, she chooses to be a hateful bigot who advocates for the death of innocent ppl.

None of us who were born into the religion would have these special exemptions like she does bcz we don't have the kind of privilege that white converts do. I used to have a skin condition that bruised my skin where it hurt to the slightest touch, I still wore hijab/niqab.

Alot of assumptions for someone who doesn't know half the shit I've been through. A medical condition might exempt u from wearing hijab, but no medical condition exempts u from the sin of *intentionally* exposing urself to the world by posting hijabless pics online.

You're absolute filth who's clearly never experienced any sort of trauma in your life because otherwise you'd have sympathy for someone with a medical condition rather than publicly bashing them for not wearing hijab because of it. Disgusting murtad.

We actually do stand up for everyone, Muslim or not, who are being discriminated against unjustly. I have yet to encounter as many Muslims who stand up for the rights of apostates and lgbtq to live in peace however.

On my way to the shop this afternoon, I encountered a lovely gay man, he was so friendly. I also encountered a Muslim family, all of didn’t utter one word of thanks to me for letting them pass me. Religion doesn’t make you a good person, your humanity does.

No, by promoting apostasy laws and death penalty for lgbtq Islam is doing a disservice to humanity. I do not want to live in a world where ppl are killed for being who they are, and I will stand up for them with everything I have.

I will try not to engage with these ppl anymore, despite how much they continuously try to harass me to provoke a response. They've already exposed their hateful nature to the world, no need for me to stoop to their level.

Muslim Twitter has brought out the worst in me the last couple days. Although it can be so frustrating how vile and dehumanizing these ppl can be, I need to remember what my initial goal is and always has been: to share my story to raise awareness, inspire and help others.

Islamic logic is literally just "when she bleeds she's ready to breed". Disgusting.
