Look, it’s just crazy how much abuse Gao Yang receives for speaking out his own experiences, as an Mongol from that region. Mongols were in Beijiang long before the Uyghurs and they are considered the indigenous people of that area. I don’t think he is a CPC spy. He just cares twitter.com/rzhongnotes/st

Incredibly rude since Gao Yang is a Mongolian from Xinjiang. If you knew the basics of Xinjiang history. The Dzungar Mongolian Khanate experienced a genocide under the Manchus in 18th century. This is what led to Uyghurs migrating to northern Xinjiang. twitter.com/rzhongnotes/st

As a XJ native, I’m simply asking for ppl who genuinely cares for XJ ppl, at least for those who allege so, takes XJ issue in a more comprehensive geopolitical, ethical & historical context to get a bigger pic, instead of building cognition solely on “genocide” rhetoric...
