Have you been wondering how to save photos from your iPhone? Don't worry, you can easily save images you’ve received from email or Messages. Whether you've got a text from a friend with pictures of your road trip or an email from family with pics of the grandkids, you can save those snapshots to your iPhone with a couple of taps. Saving images on iPhone from email or Messages is roughly the same process, but with email, you can also copy and paste the image from one email into a new email. We'll cover both methods, plus some quick ways to transfer those images from your iPhone to your desktop. Here's how to save pictures from email and messages on your iPhone.

How to Save Pictures from Text Messages on iPhone

Tap on the Messages app.

Tap on the conversation with the image you want to save.

Tap and hold the photo.

Tap Save.

The photo will appear in your Camera Roll; open your Photos app to view it.
To Save Multiple Photos from a Message Thread on iPhone

In the message with the photo you want to save, tap the little arrow next to the sender's name.

Tap the i.
- Now tap and hold a photo you'd like to save.
- Tap More.
- A check mark will appear; tap all the photos you want to save.

When you're finished choosing, tap Save.

Your photos will appear in your Photos app.
How to Save a Picture from Email on iPhone

In the Mail app, open the email with the photo(s) you want to save.

Tap the image.

To save the photo, tap the Share icon at the lower-left corner of your screen.
- Tap Save Image.
- To save all the photos in the email, tap More instead of Save Image.
- Next, tap Save # Images.
- Images saved will appear in your Camera Roll in the Photos app.

To copy and paste a photo from one email into a new email, tap Copy.

To paste a copied photo, start a new email. Tap and hold in the body of the email and select Paste.
How to Transfer Photos from iPhone to Computer
If you have iCloud Photo Library enabled, once you've saved an image to your iPhone's Photos app from Messages or Mail, those pictures are automatically uploaded to your iCloud Photo Library. You can access your photos directly from your iCloud account or any device where you're logged in to your iCloud account or by sharing the images through Airdrop.
