This might be a build up of hard water deposits in the valve assembly itself. Does this happen when the water is directed to the tub spout, or just when the shower is on??

Try replacing the shower head with another from the other bathroom (if you have one) & see what happens.

EDIT: Since it only happens when the shower is on, then try removing the shower head & see if there is something in there inhibiting the flow. If you can't see anything, then replace the shower head with a cheap one for now to see if the problem is still there. If it is, then you have a problem with your valve. If you know your way around a faucet, you can remove the assembly (if it's a single handle type) and look in there & see what you find. They make replacements for most valve bodies if your's is corroded.

Once you have it off, try using some compressed air from the shower head down and see if any build up comes through.

Well its not hard water as i have "soft" water and have the same problem, personally, i had never noticed the screaming noise until we had to get the tap and shower replaced, i guess its that that makes the noise, i just ignore it as it doesn't make a difference ,, but if its really loud I'd try get a new tap and shower thing

Sounds like you have air in the pipes... turn off the water at the source, open the valve for the shower, then turn the water back on. This will force out any air inside and stop the noise.

Is this a low water use shower head? I had this happen to me once. I took the shower head off and drilled the hole inside this shower head bigger to allow more water to go through the shower head and the noise stopped.

Its due to the pressure of the water built up in the pipes. Usually when you don't pull up the little tab all the way that happens. I'm talking about the tab that blocks water from going out the bottom for the bath.

get the brakes appeared at. or something to do with the tires perhaps once you're turning, you're turning too a lot and the tire hits something inner. no longer a mechanic, so i do not recognize what it is called. also, your tires are probably intending to be straightened. both that you you want new ones, it will be wearing down. hurry up and connect it earlier it blows up interior the midst of the throughway. good success!

Yes, this has happened to me everytime I replace the tub spout with the pull up stopper. It does decrease and eventually disappear with time. Try moving the pull up stopper up or down a little or turning it.
