Almost three hundreds Jummas took shelter at "No Mans Land" bordering with India. Others hid in the jungle for many days. Police later arrested Md Kamal and found that the attack was all pre-planned to grab indigenous peoples land. He was later released and no one ever punished.

Although Border Guard Bangladesh personnel were present there instead of stopping settlers they assisted them to attack Jumma villagers. BGB personnel also shoot Jummas whoever tried to resist. Many of the villagers got no time to save their belongings.

Around 12 am, islamists have spread rumors that Jummas have abducted Md Kamal & called muslims to gather for protest using mosque loudspeakers. When thousands of settler muslims gathered they begun chanting "Allahu Akbar" & start attacking Jumma peoples indiscriminately.

On This Day: 3 August in 2013, another heinous attack against indigenous Jumma peoples took place in Taindong, Matiranga, Khagrachari district Bangladesh. 300 Jumma houses looted & destroyed in twelve villages. 34 houses, one Buddhist temple & few shops completely burnt down.
