Jarai is an ethnicity native to the Central Highlands of Southern Vietnam whose lands are being enroached on by Kinhs
Cham king Po Klong Garai belonged to this ethnicity. Some assume he is same as king Jaya Indravarman IV. The Po Klong Garai Shiva temple was built in his honour

Bogra falls just outside Rangpur, so it's not entirely impossible for cultural exchange.
Muslims of Rangpur and CHT/Tripura definitely have a Mongoloid component but not much in the ones down south like Khulna or Barisal
Chittagong and Rangpur divisions account for only 1/3 pop
No one is saying that there's isn't a Koch component in them but it's far from majority.
Bulk of the Bengali Muslims look nowhere close to Koch Rajbongshis. You can say a Muslim like HM Ershad being an assimilated Koch and that is definitely acceptable but not with Sheikh Hasina

These are the two reasons. This is from Bogra Gazetteer. The Koch Behar kingdom was Hindu no doubt but this is also a historical fact. It's also curious how BD has many words from Koch. I. e asun is more popular than jhaaru. twitter.com/porbotialora/s…
An Arab named Ubaidullah who was on his way to Kerala to convert the people got shipwrecked in Lakshadweep instead where he converted the people to Islam.
"Land and people of Indian states and union territories : (in 36 volumes)." - S. C. Bhatt, Gopal K. Bhargava
This definitely isn't true. If it was, you'd see a much higher Mongoloid component among the Bengali Muslims which isn't that large outside Rangpur + around Tripura/CHT
Bengali genepool is only 10-15% Tibeto-Burman in genetics, bulk of it coming from Austric tribes like Santhals

East Bengal became rapidly Muslim majority because the Koch converted and had lots of kids, rowed down the Brahmaputra and settled, multiplied. In the 1800s happened the rapid expansion. I'm going to guilt trip the heck out of you for that :) twitter.com/Valsuwali/stat…

Reminder that the last time a Hindu temple was built in Vietnam was under the French rule.
Meanwhile, the Kinhs destroy ancient Shavite Cham temples and use their material to build their houses.
The few they renovate are for tourism purposes.

Lol nice wetdreams, there was never such a thing as "greater India" most of Pakistan,Afghanistan, prior to Islam were Buddhist and tribal religions, not Dindooism. twitter.com/sukarma000/sta…
See the map of Greater Thailand. They consider all of Laos and huge parts of Vietnam as their rightful territory including Sip Song Chau Tai (in red)
Also, included is the Shan state of Myanmar and Northern Malaya.
Map of Indianized regions of Southeast Asia.
This includes all of Southeast Asia sans North Vietnam and West Papua.
People in Maluku had some Indian influence though.
Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan is Indianized though like Sip Song Chau Tai in North Vietnam
Nehru supported the communist Vietnamese despite the facts the Indians living in that region were afraid of persecution from the Kinhs.
A Sindhi man who spent 6 years under the communist Vietnamese rule said "thieves are better than communists"

Indians in Vietnam fled the country after the communist takeover fearing persecution.
When the Kinhs could not confiscate weath of the Indians, they tried putting taxes as high as 300% on them.

How is a country that demolishes Hindu temples, force feeds beef to Hindus and doesn't recognise Hinduism as even a religion not anti-Hindu?
Pakistan and Bangladesh atleast consider Hinduism as a legitimate religion.
Vietnam's whole existence is based around hatred for Hinduism

Because they were our parts just 75 years ago and were separated on the basis of Hinduphobia? You are right about talking but Vietnam is not an anti-Hindu country.
After generations of genocide & persecution, Vietnamese communists still don't let the Hindu Cham majority & their ancient ruins in peace. This is the very land of ancient Champa where every rive/tributary flew over countless Shivlings. This has been shamelessly hushed up.

Viet Minh forces massacred Khmer Krom civilians, leading the Khmer Krom to support French crackdown against the Viet Minh
Khmers have faced genocide at the hand of Kinhs for centuries and had their lands stolen, so it's justifiable that they want to take back their lands atleast

The basic fact that seems to be often forgotten is that the Khmer Rouge kept attacking Vietnamese border tows & villages. They were warned to stop, they didn't & actually did a big massacre of Vietnamese villagers, after which, Vietnam invaded as any sane country would do.
Mayawati did the same with Vajpayee govt in 1999 to avenge BJP breaking BSP in 1997 in UP. I wonder why are people surprised about Rajasthan? This is classic Mayawati...
