This refreshingly concise guidebook simplifies the process of learning to use Microsoft Word 97. Rather than taking the narrative approach you often find in computer books, the authors present a series of well-defined tasks, with just one or two tasks appearing on each spread along with instructions, tips, and screen shots. The material covers not only the basics but also some relatively advanced features such as forms and macros.
The book is broken down logically into chapters on formatting your document; creating specialized, complex, long, technical, and merged documents; sharing files and tracking changes; using the program's Web tools; using Word as a DTP (desktop publishing) package; and automating Word.
