As the COVID-19 epidemic in the United States has become increasingly severe, many local governments have demanded that people "Shelter at place” to avoid the epidemic. From the perspective of preventing public health and safety risks, the Visa Office of the Chinese Consulate General in Houston will suspend service from April 7, 2020.

Please note the following:

1.) If there is no urgent need, applicants are politely requested to postpone their visit to the Consulate. Please wait for the epidemic situation to stabilize, and come to submit your application(s) at the Consulate.

2.) In case of urgent visa-related emergency, please email the Visa Office (OfficialVisaHouston@gmail.com).

The aforementioned measures are temporary. The Consulate will continue to closely monitor the development of the epidemic, and adjust its arrangements.
