THE trial of Iftikhar and Farzana Ahmed - accused of killing their daughter Shafilea - is under way.
The pair, of Liverpool Road, Great Sankey, deny murdering Shafilea.
The case finally started in Chester Crown Court today with the jury being sworn in.
Today and tomorrow will consist of legal arguments with the trial proper set to begin next week.
Shafilea, a former Great Sankey High School student, went missing in September 2002.
Her body was found in Cumbria in early 2003.
