Jeffrey Epstein's former 'sex slave' Virginia Roberts Giuffre has claimed Ghislaine Maxwell was 'worse' than the billionaire pedophile and was the 'mastermind' behind his sick sex trafficking scheme. 

Giuffre spoke out against Epstein's alleged 'madam' for the first time since Maxwell was denied bail, in an interview with CBS This Morning on Thursday.   

The 36-year-old painted a dark picture of Maxwell, who is awaiting trial on a slew of sex trafficking charges for allegedly procuring young girls for Epstein from 1994 through 1997. 

'Jeffrey was a sick pedophile, but she was the mastermind,' Giuffre told CBS' Gayle King. 

'Put it this way, Epstein was Pinocchio and she was Geppetto. She was pulling the strings, she had his money, he had her contacts - but Ghislaine was much more conniving and smart than Epstein ever was.'

According to Giuffre, Maxwell was far more 'conniving' than the pedophile and had been the 'mastermind' of his sex trafficking scheme 

Giuffre claimed Maxwell, whom she branded a 'monster', preyed on vulnerable girls before grooming them and making them sleep with Epstein, her one-time boyfriend. 

'I asked her, I said "why are you having all these girls come in to sleep with your boyfriend? And she was like: "so I don't have to do it all the time"', Giuffre said.

'She could smell the vulnerability on a person. I told her a little bit about my past and how I've been abused so, immediately it was like the Cheshire smile.'   

Giuffre has long insisted that Maxwell arranged for her to have sex with Prince Andrew at her London townhouse when she was only 17 - a claim he has vehemently denied. 

She said she believes Maxwell took on the role of Epstein's 'madam' to keep the financier happy and 'because she loved the control over people.' 

She said it's likely Maxwell is in possession of video tapes involving 'very well-known names' including government officials, politicians and royalty, because everything that went on at Epstein's estate was filmed.

'If she squeals on some of the people that she has videos on, they won't be happy with her talking about that,' Giuffre added, suggesting Maxwell's life could be in danger. 

Maxwell is being closely watched as the Department of Justice wants to ensure she does not kill herself like Epstein, 66, who hanged himself last August while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. 

She is currently being held at the fortress-like Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn where she has been given paper clothes to ensure she doesn't try to take her own life.  

Giuffre recalled meeting the British socialite at the age of 16 while working at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, where she was reading up on massage therapy. 

'Long story short, she told me she knew of a man who was looking for a traveling masseuse and that if he liked me then I would get educated and I'd become a real massage therapist,' Giuffre said.

After accepting the offer, which she said seemed like the 'dream of a lifetime', Giuffre said she was taken to Epstein's estate and was 'immediately' abused. 

'She is a monster. She's worse than Epstein. She did things even worse than Epstein did. She was vicious, she was evil, and she's a woman.'
