The Qin dynasty and Han dynasty were the first ones to give a noble title to the Kong clan and all the dynasties after them did as well.

Both of them were recognized by the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Yuan dynasty recognized the northern one Hung is the Cantonese pronunciation of Kong The northern Kongs kept a family genealogy at Qufu where they registered all real Kongs to stop people from impersonating them.

The Kong clan split into north and south branches when northern and southern China was divided between the Jin and Song. The Jurchen Wanyan emperors recognized one branch of the Kong clan in the north and the Song recognized another Kong clan branch in the south.

Confucius was a real person and his descendants are spread out over China. There are two lineages which were nobles, the north and south ones. The north one is now in Taiwan. the south one is still on the mainland.

Did you know? According to Tsung Chang's research, proto-Chinese language was heavily influenced by Indo-European- Almost 2/3rd of basic Chinese vocabulary was IE loanwords! Was the 'Yellow emperor'(~2400 BCE), father of Chinese culture & language a nomadic invader from India?

The Dzungars also deported some Khakas (Yenisei Kyrgyz) to Dzungaria, then the Qing deported them from Dzungaria to Heilongjiang where they are called Fuyu Kyrgyz

In the 1940s, Soviet archaeologists came across a completely unexpected discovery near the city of Abakan in the south of Siberia – the 2,000-year-old remains of a Chinese Han Dynasty palace. bit.ly/2CNL8kY

Now it is claimed that the Central Asian Sunni Kyrgyz in modern day Kyrgyzstan descend from a branch of Kyrgyz from Yenisei who split off and migrated to Central Asia. but some Khakas in Yenisei have denied it, saying they have no relation to them.

The economic turbulence from the downfall of the Uyghur Khaganate also contributed to the Tang Wuzong emperor and the Tibetan king Lang Darma persecuting religions like Buddhism in the 840s.

The resulting migration is what sent Uyghur tribes fleeing to Gansu where they became Yugur and to Turpan where they set up that Buddhist and Manichaean kingdom later conquered by the Karluk speakers from the western Tarim Basin.

Together, the Yenisei Kyrgyz and Tang dynasty allied together on two fronts to destroy the Manichaen Uyghur Khaganate in 840-842. The Yenisei Kyrgyz from the north and Tang dynasty from the south crushed the Uyghur Khaganate between two fronts and destroyed their empire.

The Yenisei Kyrgyz Khagan during the Tang dynasty claimed to be descended from Li Ling so he claimed to be from the same Li clan as the Tang dynasty royal family and his name was entered into the register of the imperial clan in the Tang capital Chang'an.

The Tang emperors claimed descent from the same Longxi Li clan as Li Ling, one of the ancestors claimed by the Tang emperors shared the same grandfather as Li Ling, the grandfather was Li Guang
