There were four anti-Buddhist persecutions in China The 1st one was in 446 and was driven by Daoists. Daoism was made into the state religion and Buddhism was outlawed and Buddhist monks and clerics were massacred by the army and Buddhist temples, idols and books were destroyed.

There are some Hindus who will defend lies just for sake of conversions when they themselves accuse Christians and Muslims using the same logic to fool people to convert. A religion based around lies will eventually crumble down like how Christianity is facing in Europe now.

White neo-Nazis who don't even know basic Sanskrit verses shouldn't be allowed to appropriate Vedic culture. When you ask them citations for their claims, they are the first to run away.

If you are using some source, the onus is on you to tell the complete picture and not just a small part of the information. Otherwise, people can develop a wrong perception based on an incomplete set of facts.

You can draw parallels between deities of various religions. It doesn't mean they are the same. Bathou shows parallels with Shiva but that doesn't mean he is Shiva. These influences can obviously be a result of cultural exchange with neighbouring kingdoms like Pyu.

Further, the native Sanamahi religion of Meiteis shows clear influence of Vedic religion that predates medieval Vaishnavism of Manipur. Vedic God Indra was worshiped by Meiteis under the name Soraren (<Surendra) Vedic Guru Brihaspati was worshiped by the name Guru Sidaba.

Only a few members of the royalty had converted at that point. There are no scriptures that say Vaishnavism was popular among the masses. The temple at Lamangdong was built at the advice of a Brahmin because of an idol gifted by the king of Pong, who were most likely Buddhists.

You say Manipuris weren't Hindus until 18th century. That "Sanskritization" happened only in 18th cent. Circumstantial evidence shows this isn't true. Those Sanskrit equivalent terms were added after Sanskritization. If you read the puyas, some of which were burnt by Pamheiba, you will find the native terms as well. This is akin to how Dewi Sri is an amalgamation of a native goddess and Lakshmi in Java.

The very fact that ancient religion of Manipuri Meiteis used Sanskrit names for their Gods proves beyond any doubt that "Sanskritization" was older than 18th century. To falsely claim Manipuris had no influence of Hinduism before 18th century is playing into hands of separatists

Having influence isn't the same as following the very same religion. Even the Hill Nagas and Kukis of the region have had their religions influenced by Hinduism too, but they obviously didn't identify as being Hindus before the Christians started converting them.

Lying about historical facts is wrong. Vedas don't tell you to lie for the propagation of dharma. Anyone with basic knowledge of Mahabharata will tell you the Vidarbha mentioned there is in Maharahstra, not Arunachal.
