I listen to music at night on my iPod as I try to go to sleep. Typically, it's just favorite songs of mine, hits from the 60's & 80's, stuff like that. I may get sleepy for a few minutes, as I lie on my back & try to relax first (I'm a stomach sleeper, and have to be REALLY sleepy to start sleeping in the right position for me). But laying on my back is uncomfortable after a 1/2 to 1 hour. I always wake up after 30 to 60 minutes or so, turn off my iPod & go back to bed, hopefully falling asleep a few minutes later.
I listened to the samples on here & liked what I heard- they immediately seemed to relax me. Well, last night, I put this on right before bed- I made it a Playlist so no other tunes would come on, and left it on "Repeat". Not only did I fall asleep in what seemed like a nanosecond (on my back, apparently- though I don't remember!), I awoke several hours later, sleeping on my stomach, iPod still going in my ears! This has never, EVER happened before, either the falling asleep on my back or falling asleep for good w/ my iPod on. Regular music, even classical, doesn't accomplish that level of deep relaxation in me. This is incredible stuff. I don't know how well it'll work for meditation (it may make me too sleepy), but for helping insomnia or using as very nice-sounding white noise, it's great. I'll definitely update my review after trying it for meditation, but I had to tell about this great experience.
