Sri Lanka has a HDI of 0.780 (high) and a GDP per capita of $4.1k (upper middle income) yet the Muslims there still have 3.1 kids on an average.

Most likely.
Muslims in SL have astonishingly high TFR, unexpected of a country with such a high standard of living compared to India.
Muslims are growing twice as fast as the Buddhists in SL as Muslims compared to Hindus in India.

The Sequoyah region is what has been returned to natives by SC of USA just now.
It was originally supposed to be its own state but got merged into Oklahoma in 1907.

At the end of the day, Muslims in Tamil Nadu don't have insanely high birth rates like in Sri Lanka.

Half the population of Turkey are secularists and hate Islam so that explains it. At least govt. is Islamic. In Morocco I know of sisters wearing hijab staying in hotels who were told to leave poolside because the Western tourists might be offended.
