BJP had a voteshare of 24% in Telangana in 1998 but their alliance with TDP resulted in obliteration of the party. Since 2014, they have started regaining their lost share. They will likely surpass the 1998 peak in 2024.

Half the population of Turkey are secularists and hate Islam so that explains it. At least govt. is Islamic. In Morocco I know of sisters wearing hijab staying in hotels who were told to leave poolside because the Western tourists might be offended.

I keep telling people CHP voters in Turkey are largely atheists with only Muslim on their ID cards. Most of them drink alcohol, eat pork and barely go for prayers. Some of them are also vocally Islamophobic.
