You'll see some huge decrease in share of Muslims and then reversals the next decade in some districts. This was because Nehru signed the Nehru-Liaquat Pact in 1950 which allowed Muslims that had left India for Pakistan to return back and take their properties again.

Sip Song Chau Tai was ruled by the Đèo 刁 royal family. The Đèo royal family sided with France against the Vietnamese Communists & fled to France in 1954. They're Tai Theravada Buddhists much like neighbouring Laotians.
