handgun - a gun which can be operated with one arm and hand

One or more people have said that handguns are more dangerous than rifles because they can be concealed and the one operating the handgun can easily turn/angle it and shoot himself accidentally. (With a rifle it more difficult to accidentally shoot yourself.)
