Ice occurs when the water's temperature reaches 32°F (0°C) or below.

Pica is the desire to chew and consume things that are not edible or provide little to no nutritional value: sand, clay, ice, dirt, chalk, etc. Pagophagia is a form of pica where one chews or consumes ice.^[1]
