Reminder: Deadline to apply for COVID-19 relief in Harris County ends tonight

... moreHarris County residents facing financial hardship due to the novel coronavirus pandemic have until 10 p.m. Wednesday to apply for a chance to be included in a second deployment of the county's $30 million relief fund.
Residents may apply online through 10 p.m. Wednesday or by phone from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday. Those filling out the application by phone can call 832-848-0214 to speak with an operator.
Those who are eligible include residents:
- who are under 60 percent of area median income
- who have been economically impacted by COVID-19
- who have not received funding from a city or county COVID-19 financial assistance program
- who are not approved for unemployment insurance or CARES Act funds
- who cannot afford to wait for funds from the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program
Funds are available to eligible residents regardless of status. Priority will be given to residents living in the county's most vulnerable census tracts.
