There is a pair of socks laying on the floor next to me. They aren't scary at all.
They would be scary if they started floating around for no reason and scarier if they swung a sword at me or, god help us, doot a bugle
Actually though, seeing a skeleton IRL is just about one of the most terrifying things, not in the "ahh jumpscare" sense but the lead-stomach feeling of knowing someone died in this location and no one was around to bury them
You just made me weirdly aware of the fact that I've never seen a real human skeleton outside of a museum or something
And now I'm imagining a skeleton jumping out of me like a Titanfall Pilot disembarking.
