The number of Houston-area coronavirus cases is at 28,999 with 530 deaths and 11,691 recoveries

HOUSTON – Here is a quick look at the coronavirus cases that have been reported in the Greater Houston area.

Austin County: 41 cases, 26 recoveries

Officials ask people to get the latest information about COVID-19 cases in Austin Country from the Texas Department of Health and Human Services here.

Brazoria County: 1,019 total cases, 13 deaths, 658 recoveries

Information about the cases in Brazoria County can be found at BrazoriaCountyTX.gov.

NOTE: As of June 8, officials in Brazoria County said they are no longer going to report the Department of Criminal Justice cases in the county’s total. This caused the number of reported cases in the county to substantially drop.

Brazos County: 1,025 total cases, 25 deaths, 493 recoveries

Calhoun County: 51 total cases, 3 deaths, 42 recoveries

Calhoun County Texas Emergency Management has been providing official information about the cases on Facebook.

Chambers County: 130 total cases, 84 recoveries

Colorado County: 39 total cases, 21 recoveries

Fort Bend County: 2,667 total cases, 50 deaths, 1,091 recoveries

Galveston County: 1,486 total cases, 40 deaths, 616 recoveries

Harris County: 7,650 cases, 129 deaths, 4,508 recoveries

Matagorda County: 95 total cases, 5 deaths, 52 recoveries

Montgomery County: 1,428 total cases, 33 deaths, 811 recoveries

Polk County: 73 total cases, 35 recoveries

San Jacinto County: 24 total cases, 11 recoveries

Walker County: 1,899 total cases, 30 deaths, 135 recoveries

Waller County: 99 cases, 44 recoveries

Washington County: 223 cases, 28 deaths, 149 recoveries

Wharton County: 98 total cases, 1 death, 44 recoveries
