My name is Yutaka Matsuo. I am a professor at the University of Tokyo (UT), working on artificial intelligence, especially on deep learning and web mining. I got my Ph.D. degree from the University of Tokyo in 2002. From 2005 to 2007, I was a visiting scholar at Stanford University. From 2014 to 2017 I was a visiting associate professor at National University of Singapore.

In the University of Tokyo, I belong to Department of Technology Management for Innovation (TMI), Graduate School of Engineering, and Program for Social Innovation (PSI), School of Engineering. My laboratory website is here.

I serve as President of Japan Deep Learning Association (JDLA), and a member of the board of director at SoftBank Group Corp.
