Olympic Knights

I may be late to this, but I think each Olympic knight matches a Greek/Roman god. Here’s my thoughts, and people please add/make changes.

Morning - Apollo

Rage - Ares

Protean - Poseidon

Storm - Zeus

Hearth - Hera

Truth - Athena

Joy - Dionysus

Death - Hades

Love - Aphrodite

And these I’m less certain of:

Wind - Demeter

Cloud - Hermes

Fear - ????

Thoughts?

I mean, maybe, but there are so many Greek gods that this could probably be done with anything.

Also, the Greek god of fear is Phobos

Thanks for sharing this. This kinda answers one of my questions in the AMA yesterday. Ive been wondering if there’s a space to fill for each knight or if they earn a title. Sometimes knights are replaced but then others seem to have a title that fits them.

I'm sure there was some influence taken from Greek Culture, but I don't think to the extent you're assuming. Pierce has said on countless occasions that Greek and Roman Mythology and history has had a lot of influence on the series.

In morning star, when they rush the gold outpost, that the Valkyrie were terrified to approach without summons, the golds were referred to as gods.

Cannot remember correctly but I think they specifically said they were imitating Norse gods. Would be sweet if they are Greek or Roman god inspired. Has Brown ever shed light on this?

level 2

The Golds tell the Obsidian in particular that they are the more gods, "We gave them the religion of the Norse" after the Dark Revolt, the Golds put the obsidian color onto the harsh poles of the planets and became their gods.

Howdy, new to reddit so I’m not quite sure how commenting usually works here. If I might provide my thoughts on the matter, Fear perhaps is Demeter because of the whole Persephone story where she searches and searches but can’t find her daughter because she was taken to the Underworld? Wind maybe Hephaestus because of the bellows he uses to tend his forges (He being the forge god of course)?

Wouldn't Hearth be Hestia, aka the literal goddess of the hearth? Of course, then I'm less sure where Hera ends up...

Hey guys! So I fell in love with the Red Rising saga from the moment the first book came out, but I’ve only just read the newest title after newest titled. I’ve never actually reread a book haha. I’ve always worried id be too bored rereading but Is it worth it? I’m thinking about rereading them all.
