How do I add a link for an other language (for example Dutch)?[edit]
This article is about personal and/or full names: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_name and this is the Dutch (Nederlands) version: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eigennaam – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Remzicavdar (talk • contribs).
- Wrong. nl:Eigennaam is not only about personal names, but also about toponyms and others. --Infovarius (talk) 21:31, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
Name used as reasoning of identification of a person[edit | Add topic]
https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q1071027&type=revision&diff=1191456230&oldid=1191436633 - "Please do not make this edit until you explain the reasoning for it on the talk page (pun intended)."
@Jc3s5h: A personal name is an instance of reasoning of identification, for it is used as reason to identify someone as being someone and not someone else. A name found on dog tags of an otherwise unidentifiable soldier is an instance of reasoning of identification of that person.
A personal name is an instance of an algorithm of identification because the name has a set of rules which identify aspects of a person. For example, "Suesy" or "Donna" usually means a female, and Alfred or Dwayne usually mean a male person. --User123o987name (talk) 23:06, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
